Introduction

As a project for Microbial Physiology at Colorado State University, this blog will provide information about each amino acid.  Over the next few weeks, general principles of each amino acid and its synthesis will be presented.  All amino acids are synthesized from intermediated in metabolic pathways.  The amino acids will be grouped and presented based on common intermediates.
